Naturally Dyed Easter Eggs
Blue (Purple Cabbage)

1Â cup packed shredded purple cabbage
1Â tablespoon distilled white vinegarÂ
Pink (Beets)
1-1/2Â cups water
1Â cup raw beets, cut into half-inch cubes
1Â tablespoon distilled white vinegar
Yellow (Ground Turmeric)
1-1/2Â cups water
1Â tablespoon ground turmeric
1Â tablespoon distilled white vinegar
Orange (Onion Skins)
1-1/2Â cups water
1Â cup lightly packed yellow onion skins
1Â cup lightly packed yellow onion skinsÂ
1Â tablespoon distilled white vinegar
INSTRUCTIons
1. Combine water, purple cabbage, and vinegar in small saucepan.
2. Bring mixture to a boil.
3. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 30 minutes.
4. Cool, then carefully strain the liquid into a clean mason jar.
5. Repeat Step 1-4 for each vegetable/spice.
6. Add hard-boiled eggs to each jar, ensuring that they are completely submerged in the liquid.
7. Let eggs stand in the liquid at least 30 minutes at room temperature, or you can leave them overnight in the refrigerator for a more vibrant color.
8. Remove eggs from the jar, pat dry, and store in the refrigerator.
