INGREDIENTS

  • 8 ounces ZENB Penne, uncooked
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 2 teaspoons capers, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 cans (5 ounces each) sardines packed in water, drained
  • 1 small orange, zested and juiced
  • 3 tablespoons chopped toasted walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil

INSTRUCTIONS

Cook ZENB Pasta as directed on package. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta cooking water; drain.

Heat oil in large skillet on medium heat. Add garlic, capers and crushed red pepper flakes; cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

3.

Stir in pasta, sardines, reserved pasta water, orange zest and orange juice; cook for 1-2 minutes, until sauce forms and pasta is coated. Garnish with walnuts and basil before serving.

Tasty Tips

Feel free to substitute sardines with chunked tuna packed in water.
