INGREDIENTS
- 8 ounces ZENB Penne, uncooked
- 2 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 2 teaspoons capers, drained
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 cans (5 ounces each) sardines packed in water, drained
- 1 small orange, zested and juiced
- 3 tablespoons chopped toasted walnuts
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
INSTRUCTIONS
1.Cook ZENB Pasta as directed on package. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta cooking water; drain.
2.Heat oil in large skillet on medium heat. Add garlic, capers and crushed red pepper flakes; cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
3.Stir in pasta, sardines, reserved pasta water, orange zest and orange juice; cook for 1-2 minutes, until sauce forms and pasta is coated. Garnish with walnuts and basil before serving.
Tasty Tips
Feel free to substitute sardines with chunked tuna packed in water.
