Decadent Pork Chops smothered in our delicious ZENB Roasted Tomato, Garlic, & Basil Sauce is a show stopping meal ready in less than 40 minutes. This recipe is also a good source of fiber.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 bone-in thick-cut pork chops (about 1-1/4 pounds)
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 sprigs rosemary, thyme or sage
- 2 garlic cloves,smashed
- 1 carton (15.5 ounces) ZENB Roasted Tomato, Garlic, & Basil Gourmet Sauce
- fresh basil sprigs
INSTRUCTIONS
1.Season pork with salt and pepper. Let stand 10 minutes. Heat oil in large cast-iron skillet on medium-high heat until shimmering. Add pork to skillet. Cook 10-14 minutes, turning once, until browned. Drain all but 2 teaspoons drippings from pan.
2.Reduce heat to medium. Add butter, herbs and garlic. Cook 2-4 minutes while basting pork with drippings until deep golden brown on all sides.
3.Transfer pork and herbs to clean plate. Rest 5 minutes or until instant-read thermometer reads 140°F. Carve meat off of bone; cut into slices.
4.Add ZENB Sauce to skillet; simmer 2-3 minutes while gently scraping fond from bottom of pan. Serve pork with warmed sauce and fresh basil.
