On The Road: My Road Trip To See the Impact of ZENB’s Growing Retail Presence
My name is Taichi Sakabe, and I am the Chief Operating Officer of ZENB in the US, which makes me responsible for the overall business operations of our company. I recently had the opportunity to go on a road trip from our home base in Chicago all the way to Pennsylvania, visiting dozens of of our retail partners where ZENB products are sold. From the shelves of Fresh Thyme in the Midwest, to the aisles of GIANT in the the Northeast, each stop was a testament to our mission at ZENB: change the way people think about eating by providing plant-based products that use more of our vegetable ingredients and waste less. It is very fulfilling for me to see our better-for-you products displayed prominently in these stores, knowing the benefit they offer to those that buy them. It was a chance to witness firsthand how our efforts are making a tangible difference in communities across the country by providing gluten-free products that do not compromise on taste or texture.
Every time I spotted someone choosing one of ZENB products off the shelf, I felt a surge of excitement and pride. Each store visit reinforced the belief that we are on the right path, bringing healthy, delicious, plant-based options to a wider audience. Meeting with store managers and customers along the way, I was inspired by their positive feedback and enthusiasm for our products. At several of the stores we also had our Plant Pantry on site offering freshly cooked samples of our pasta. This made hearing from customer even more special, as many of them not only tasted and enjoyed the products but then they also went into the store and purchase the products as a result. This is what our whole team is looking to inspire.
Our journey is about more than just food; it's about helping people eat like it matters. By bringing ZENB plant-fueled products to the people, we are promoting a lifestyle that values health, sustainability, and the joy of eating well. This road trip was a reminder of why we do what we do — to make a positive impact on people's lives through better food choices. I'm more motivated than ever to continue this mission alongside our whole team, ensuring that ZENB products are accessible to all, inspiring everyone to embrace the power of plants in their diets.
