ZENB Rotini Pasta and ZENB Creamy Mushroom Gourmet Pasta Sauce create a rich dish filled with crispy bacon and topped with velvety crumbled gorgonzola. Devour this dish knowing it is a good source of protein.   

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 box (12 ounces) ZENB Rotini Pasta made from 100% Yellow Peas
  • 2 cups thinly sliced Brussels sprouts
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 carton (15.5 ounces) ZENB Creamy Mushroom, Cauliflower & Garlic Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons crumbled gorgonzola
  • 3 strips turkey bacon, cooked, crumbled

INSTRUCTIONS

Cook ZENB Pasta as directed on package. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta cooking water; drain.

Heat large skillet lightly sprayed with olive oil on medium-high heat. Add Brussels sprouts; season with salt. Cook 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally until browned. Transfer Brussels sprouts to clean plate.

3.

Combine reserved pasta and pasta water, ZENB Sauce in same skillet. Cook 3-5 minutes, or until sauce is slightly thickened and pasta is evenly coated. Add reserved Brussels sprouts; mix gently until combined. Sprinkle with cheese and turkey bacon before serving.Mary

Tasty Tips

Substitute feta, asiago or goat cheese for the gorgonzola.
